Westminster women's soccer defeated Adams State 1-0 on the road Friday afternoon to lock up its spot in the Fall 2021 Women's Soccer Tournament.

ALAMOSA, Colo. - Madison Schmidt put Westminster women's soccer (8-2-4, 5-2-3 RMAC) ahead early in the 15th minute and Kelsea Cracroft had three saves en route to her third shutout win of the season as the Griffins held on to defeat Adams State (1-11-2, 0-8-2 RMAC) on Friday afternoon at the ASU Soccer & Lacrosse Field.

Westminster has now won three-straight and four of its last five as it looks to build on its Spring 2021 run to the RMAC Tournament Championship, the first championship match in program history.

Westminster went ahead, 1-0, on Madison Schmidt's second goal of the season which was assisted by Alex Hoffman.

The Griffins finished with a 16-5 advantage in shots and held Adams State to just three shots on target for the match.

Westminster, which currently sits in sixth in the RMAC Women's Soccer standings, will continue its road trip for its regular-season finale on Sunday at noon at N.M. Highlands.

The Griffins will await the remainder of women's soccer conference results for their final RMAC Tournament seeding and eventual first-round matchup.
