LAKEWOOD, Colo.—The Westminster women's basketball team defeated Colorado Christian, 86-63, extending its win streak to four.
Westminster shot 65.6% percent from the field, made 3-6 from three and went 4-4 from the stripe to lead, 50-27, at the end of the first half.
The Griffins scored 24 points in the third quarter to increase their lead by 10. CCU got hot in the fourth quarter shooting 62.5 percent to outscore the Griffins 22-12.
Four scored double-digit figures as the Griffins shot a season high 58.9% from the field and went 15-15 from the free throw line.
Lyndzi Rich and
Mariah Martin were one rebound short of a double-double. Rich led all scorers with 19 points, grabbed a team high nine rebounds and had two assists. Martín scored 16 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and had a team high four assists.
Hunter Krebs and
Abby Mangum scored 18 and 16 points, respectively. Krebs grabbed six rebounds and recorded a steal. Mangum grabbed two rebounds and recorded an assist and a steal.
The Griffins return to Salt Lake City to host Regis on Friday, Jan. 22, and Colorado School of Mines on Saturday, Jan. 23. Both games will be streamed live on the RMAC Network.
