SALT LAKE CITY – Third seeded Westminster and first seeded Mavericks meet in the RMAC Women's Basketball Championship Final tonight. The Griffins defeated Dixie State and the Mavericks defeated Colorado School of Mines to set the rematch of last year's final.
The Griffins (24-6, 17-5 RMAC) defeated Dixie State (18-12, 12-10 RMAC RMAC), 65-53, for a third time this season. The Griffins have won seven straight averaging 68 points. Junior

Hunter Krebs (Hyde Park, UT, Sky View HS) at 15.6 points. Martín leads the team in assists at 4.0 per game. Junior
Sarah McGinley (Fort Collins, CO, Heritage Christian Academy, Colorado Christian University) adds 13.3 points per game and 6.0 rebounds, and senior
Kaitlin Toluono (Taylorsville, UT, Taylorsville HS, USU Eastern) leads the team with 8.4 rebounds per game to go with 9.8 points per game.
The Mavericks (25-5, 19-3 RMAC) defeated Colorado School of Mines (19-10, 15-7 RMAC), 59-47, in the semi-finals. Daniella Turner leads the Mavericks in scoring at 15.7 points per game. Sydni Brandon leads the team in rebounding averaging 6.4 per game, assists at 4.4 per game and steals at 2.8 per game.
The Griffins are 3-4 against the Mavericks over the last three seasons and will need to break a three year trend that has seen the home team win each game.
