LAKE PLACID, N.Y.—The men's and women's snowboard teams are off to a good start at the USCSA National Championships with first place team finishes after the first day.
The men finished 20 points ahead of James Madison University for first place in boarder cross with four placing in the top five.
Ryan Murphy and
Aiden Chmura reached the podium in first and second respectively. Josh Palatine finished fourth and Tito Stante finished fifth.
The women finished eight points clear of Liberty University to finish first in rail jam with four finishing in the top 10.
Alinnea Christensen finished on the podium in second.
Olivia Shively came in fourth,
Madison Barrett was sixth and Abby Benser finished 10
th.
