GUNNISON, Colo. – Westminster women's basketball fell in a battle of two of the RMAC's top teams, with Western coming out on top, 66-57, and taking sole possession of second place in the conference standings.

The Griffins trailed by six at half and entered the fourth quarter down by just five. Westminster cut the lead to three with eight minutes left in the game, but never got any closer.

Kaitlin Toluono and Hunter Krebs led the Griffins with 14 points apiece, and Toluono added and 10 rebounds. Sarah McGinley and Mariah Martin scored 13 and 11 points, respectively.

Westminster returns home to host Fort Lewis and Adams State next weekend.
