SALT LAKE CITY – Currently sitting at second place in the RMAC standings, Westminster women's basketball will take on conference-leading Colorado Mesa this Friday, Feb. 7, and third-place Western on Saturday, Feb. 8.
The Griffins (17-4, 12-3 RMAC) are coming off their third conference loss, losing at Fort Lewis College last weekend. Westminster split at home against Colorado Mesa and Western two weekends ago, and currently hold a one-game lead over the three teams tied for third in the conference standings.
Mariah Martin is leading the Griffins in scoring and assists at 16.3 points and 4.2 assists per game.
Hunter Krebs, who reached 1000 career points last game, is averaging 16.2 points per game.
Sarah McGinley is adding 13.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
Kaitlin Toluono leads the Griffins with 8 rebounds per game, and is pitching in 8.5 points per game.
Colorado Mesa (18-3, 14-1 RMAC) suffered its only conference loss of the season to Westminster. The Mavericks won both their games last weekend, and are two games ahead of the Griffins for first place. Daniella Turner leads the team with 15.5 points per game.
Western (13-6, 11-4 RMAC) has lost two of its last three conference games. The Mountaineers are led by Gabie Doud's 10.2 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.
