Griffins Look to Get Back On Track, Host Fort Lewis College, Adams State

SALT LAKE CITY – Westminster women's basketball will return home this weekend to host Fort Lewis College on Friday, Feb. 14, and Adams State on Saturday, Feb. 15.

The Griffins (17-6, 12-5 RMAC) have lost three straight, to drop to fourth place in the conference standings. The three-game skid started with a loss to Fort Lewis two weekends ago. Westminster had previously won 7 of 8 games and started conference play 12-2.

Westminster is led in scoring and assists by Mariah Martin at 16.1 points and 4.1 assists per game. Hunter Krebs adds 15.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, and Sarah McGinley is averaging 13.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per contest. Both Krebs and McGinley are shooting over 45 percent from beyond the arc. Kailtlin Toluono leads the team with 8.1 rebounds per game and is chipping in 8.4 points.

Fort Lewis (15-7, 11-6 RMAC) has lost its last two, snapping a four-game winning streak. The final victory of those four games came against Westminster, a two-point win in Durango. Jordan Vasquez and Jordan Carter lead the Skyhawks in scoring at 11.5 and 11.2 points, respectively.

Adams State (3-20, 3-14) has lost four straight and 10 of its last 11. The Grizzlies are led by Zakiya Beckles, who is averaging 10.8 points per game.

Both games are set to tip at 5:30 p.m. MT and will be streamed live on the RMAC Network.
