DURANGO, Colo. –
Hunter Krebs reached the 1000 career point plateau, scoring 25 points in an overtime loss for Westminster women's basketball at Fort Lewis on Saturday night at Whalen Gymnasium.
Krebs' 25 points led all scorers, as the junior forward reached the milestone in the first quarter. She added seven rebounds.
The Griffins (17-4, 12-3 RMAC) led by 10 at halftime and by eight heading into the final quarter, but Fort Lewis outscored Westminster 14-6 in the fourth quarter to force overtime. With the game tied, the Skyhawks' Sydney Candelaria hit a jumper with 1 second remaining in overtime to give Fort Lewis the victory.
Mariah Martin added 17 points and eight assists, and
Kaitlin Toluono finished with 15 points and nine rebounds.
The Griffins play two more road games next week, facing first-place Colorado Mesa on Friday, Feb. 7 and third-place Western Colorado on Saturday, Feb. 8.
