COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—The Westminster women's cross country team finished sixth at the RMAC Cross Country Championships Saturday morning at Monument Valley. The finish is five places better than last year and three positions higher than this year's preseason poll.
The Griffins scored 165 points and posted a spread of 1:27.3 with the top five finishing 19
th through 54
th. The top three teams were Western Colorado (44 points), Colorado Mines (63 points) and MSU Denver (87 points). Zoe Baker of Colorado Mines finished first with a time of 21:11.5
Hannah Rohrer-Fitzhugh was the first to finish for the Griffins. Rohrer-Fitzhugh cracked the top-20 with a career best time of 22:38.1 to finish 19
th.
Saydi Anderson and
Amanda Lee were next to finish with respective times of 23:16.7 and 22:56.3.
Katie Scott and
Courtney McAlindon rounded out the top five.
The team secured qualification for the D2 XC National Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 14, in Lubbock, Texas, at the Lubbock Christian Cross Country Course.
