Box Score SALT LAKE CITY - Westminster women's basketball outscored Colorado Christian 20-6 in the third quarter en route to a 30-point victory over the Cougars, 74-44.
Hunter Krebs led all scorers with 18 points and scored the Griffins' first eight points. She also grabbed eight rebounds and recorded three blocks.
Mariah Martin and
Abby Mangum added 10 points each, and
Kaitlin Toluono snagged a game-high 13 rebounds to go with six points.
Sarah McGinley scored nine points and had five rebounds against her former team.
The two teams battled in a competitive first quarter that ended with the Griffins holding a four-point lead at 19-15.
Westminster built its lead up to 13 at halftime behind a 9-2 run in the middle of the second quarter. Martin scored six of her 10 points in the second period.
That lead stretched to 27 at the end of the third quarter, as the Griffins' defense allowed just six points. Westminster's reserves finished the game, highlighted by a pair of buckets from freshman
Annabella Jensen.
Westminster will host another set of conference games next weekend, facing Western Colorado on Friday, Jan. 24, and Colorado Mesa on Saturday, Jan. 25 in a game that will feature the two teams atop the standings in the RMAC. Both games will be streamed live on the
