Danny Darelli scored the game winning goal in the 61st minute and freshman
Max Bingman scored nearly five minutes later to seal a 2-0 win over Hawai'i Pacific.
The Griffins and Sharks played to a scoreless first half draw with four shots by Westminster and two by Hawai'i Pacific.
The action picked up in the second half. The Griffins took six shots with three on goal and two finding the back of the net. Junior goalkeeper
Will Desantis made four saves to the earn the shutout and win.
Darelli got his first goal of the season after a defender redirected his attempt past the keeper at the front post. For the second goal, Junior
Kaden Amano served a free kick into the box and
Max Bingman rose up to head the goal in for his first career goal as a Griffin.
Bingman led the Griffins with three shots and two on goal. Darelli took two shots with one on goal and five others recorded a single shot with one on goal.
Westminster plays again on Sunday at 2:30 pm against Cal State East Bay.
