SALT LAKE CITY – Westminster women's soccer (4-1-2, 1-1-1 RMAC) lost for the first time this season, falling 1-0 to Regis University (5-2-1, 3-1-0 RMAC) on Sunday at Dumke Field.
The Griffins outshot the Rangers 12-7 and took seven corners to just two for Regis. Westminster couldn't find the back of the net and was held scoreless for just he second time in 2019, the first being a 0-0 draw in the Griffins' first game of the season.
Regis broke the scoreless tie in the 65
th minute when freshman Audrey Teague scored her fourth goal of the season.
Hannah Taie led the Griffins with three shots, two of them on frame.
Alexa Maple had tow shots, and seven other players had one shot each. Goalkeeper
Hillary Weixler made three saves and gave up just her second goal of the season.
Westminster continues conference play next weekend on a two-game road trip at the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs and Metropolitan State University of Denver. Both games will be
