SALT LAKE CITY – No. 18 Westminster women's basketball will host its first home games of the season this weekend, taking on Black Hills State on Friday, Dec. 6, and South Dakota Mines on Saturday, Dec. 7.
The Griffins (6-1, 1-0 RMAC) opened the season with five straight wins and opened conference play last weekend with a 63-59 win at Dixie State. Westminster's lone loss came to No. 13 Alaska Anchorage.
Mariah Martin leads Westminster with 16.6 points and 4.4 assists per game, and
Sarah McGinley is adding 15.9 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
Hunter Krebs is contributing 14 points per game.
Black Hills State (4-2, 1-0 RMAC) opened conference play with a 55-47 victory over South Dakota Mines. Racquel Wientjes is averaging 15.2 points per game to lead the Yellow Jackets, and Morgan Ham is adding 13.8 points per game.
South Dakota Mines (1-3, 0-1 RMAC) has lost three straight. Ryan Weiss leads the Hardrockers with 15.3 points per game.
