SALT LAKE CITY – Westminster women's basketball will start conference play at the Dixie State this Saturday, Nov. 30, as the Griffins look to continue their strong start to the season.
The Griffins' (5-1) only loss came to No. 11 Alaska Anchorage at the Seawolf Classic last weekend. Westminster won its first five games of the season.
Westminster is led by a trio of scorers, as
Sarah McGinley is averaging 16 points and 9.5 rebounds per game,
Mariah Martin is pitching in 15.7 points and 4.8 assists per game and
Hunter Krebs is adding 14.5 points per game.
Ali Franks leads Dixie State with 15.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Madi Loftus add 11.8 points per game.
The Griffins were picked in the preseason RMAC Coaches Poll as the second-best team in the conference, while the Trailblazers were picked to finish ninth.
Saturday's game will tip off at 5:30 p.m. and will be streamed live on the
RMAC Network.
