ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Westminster women's basketball suffered its first loss of the season, falling to No. 11 Alaska Anchorage 69-56 on Saturday night at Alaska Airlines Center.
The Griffins (5-1) were led by 14 points and 5 rebounds from
Hunter Krebs, plus 11 points, including three 3-pointers, from
Abby Mangum.
Sarah McGinley, named to the all-tournament team, added 7 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists.
Mariah Martin was also named to the all-tournament team, averaging 15 points over Griffins' the two games.
Alaska Anchorage (5-0) remained unbeaten behind Yazmeen Goo's 14 points and 4 assists. The Seawolves forced 19 turnovers.
The Griffins will begin RMAC competition next Saturday, Nov. 30, at Dixie State. The game will be streamed live on the
RMAC Network.
