DENVER, Colo.--The Westminster women's soccer team (5-2-2, 2-2-1 RMAC) recovered from its loss to No.1 UCCS with a 1-0 win at MSU Denver.
"We are banged up and down a lot of players rught now but out depth really got us through," Head Coach Tony Leblanc said. "Today was a great win, a total team effort."
The teams played to a scoreless draw through the first half. Westminster took four shots and MSU Denver took five. Goalkeeper
Hillary Weixler kept the Roadrunners out with three saves..
Sarah Reiber scored the decing goal in the 54 th minute.
Emily Pascua provided the assist with a thru ball after it came out to her from a scramble insie the penalty box.
Desperate to tie the game, MSU Denver committed numbers forward taking seven shots and winning four coraners. The Roadrunners had one shot blocked, two saved by Weixler and shot four over the goal.
The Griffins held on to their one goal lead despite playing wiht ten players after
Jayde Hansen was shown a red card in the 72 nd minute.
Reiber's game winner was her second goal and second game-winning goal of the season. Pascua notched her first assist.
Six Griffins recorded a shots in the game.

Weixler faced 15 shots and came up with seven saves to preserved teh shutout, her fourth of the season.
The Griffins return to Dumke Field to play Colorado School of Mines on Friday and Colorado Christian University on Sunday.
