SALT LAKE CITY, Utah--
Cassidy Orr scored her first career goal and
Emma Heyn scored her second of the season to salvage a point against Colorado State University Pueblo (CSUP).
Westminster dominated play offensively through regulation, out shooting the visiting side 32-11 with 18 shots on goal. Despite their dominance, Westminster fell behind 2-0 in the first half. Litzy Serna scored in the 25th minute and Cara Siegel followed up two minutes later in the 27th minute.
The Griffins came close early on the game.
Aimee Kurfurst was denied in the second minute when her shot was blocked by the face of a CSUP defender.
Skye Jefferies header in the 12th minute was turned away by the right post.
The second half opened with seven shots in the first seven minutes. Heyn received the ball at the right corner of the penalty box, cut inside and dribbled past two defenders before firing a left-footed shot over CSUP goalkeeper Rylie Martin. Westminster's second goal came three minutes later after Jade Hansen's attempt was blocked and rolled out to
Cassidy Orr. Orr struck it first time with the inside of her right foot and placed it out fo the reach of a diving goalkeeper to the far left post.
The Griffins closed the half with 11 more shots but couldn't beat Martins who came up with seven saves to deny a game winner.
The momentum swung a little bit in overtime with CSUP out shooting Westminster 3-0 in the first overtime period. Westminster found some footing in the second overtime period forcing Martins to make three saves on four shots with the game ending in a 2-2 draw.

Tony LeBlanc said. "We were a little unfortunate not to get a game winner."
Heyn was extremely efficient finishing 5-5 shots on goal in 98 minutes. Alex Maple shot 3-5 and Hansen was 3-6 leading the team in attempts.
Westminster hosts New Mexico Highlands on Sunday at 1 pm.
