Griffins Set to Host Colorado Mesa, Fort Lewis

Westminster men's soccer (7-3-2, 5-1-2 RMAC) will host a pair of RMAC games this weekend, facing Colorado Mesa on Friday, October 18 and Fort Lewis on Sunday, October 20. Both games will be streamed on the RMAC Network.

Scouting the Griffins
The Griffins began conference place with four straight victories and are coming off a four-point weekend, with a tie against Colorado Mines and a 4-0 victory over South Dakota Mines. Danny Darelli leads Westminster with eight goals, and Max Bingham has six goals and two assists.

Scouting the Opposition
Colorado Mesa (7-2-2, 5-1-2 RMAC) comes in with an identical conference record with Westminster. The two squads played to a 1-1 tie two weekends ago. Lawan Abary and Alex Fronapfel have three goals each to lead the Mavericks.

Fort Lewis (6-3-3, 4-3-1 RMAC) is handed Westminster its lone conference loss this season, a 1-0 victory on October 4. The Skyhawks have since lost three straight and have fallen to sixth place in the conference standings.  

Westminster Men's Soccer at a Glance
The 2019 season is the 36th season of competition for the Westminster men's soccer program. The Griffins went 14-4-1 last season and 10-3-1 in conference play, their fourth season competing in the RMAC and against an NCAA Division II schedule.  Westminster made its first appearance in the RMAC Tournament in 2018.

Head coach Josh Pittman is in his fourth season at Westminster, and the Griffins' record has improved in each season during his tenure.
