Griffins score eight points in each half to defeat the Mountain Lions 16-13

Salt Lake City, Utah--Another career day for Mikala Anderson helped Westminster's women's lacrosse team defeat UCCS for their fourth conference win.  Westminster scored eight points in both halves for a 16-13 win and improve to 5-4 overall and 4-2 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC).

Westminster made a 5-2 run to start the second half and held their largest lead of the game, 13-7, and looked to be cruising towards a win.  With 10 minutes remaining, two UCCS and one Westminster player received yellow cards.  Allison Lambert scored a man-up goal for Westminster.  UCCS scored the next four goals, scoring two of them a man-down and one a man-up, to cut the Griffin's lead to one-point.  Fordham and Hendershott each scored a goal for some breathing room and the Griffins held on to win, 16-13.
