COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Westminster men's lacrosse team earned a season sweep of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference newcomer Maryville with a 13-6 win on Saturday morning at Washburn Field.

Westminster (5-5, 4-3 RMAC) scored the first three goals of the game – including two from
Jacob Taylor – and they led by multiple goals the rest of the game. The scored six time in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach after leading by just three entering the period.

The Griffins attempted 46 shots in the contest and they put 29 of those on cage. They won 14 of 22 faceoffs with a 30-19 edge in ground balls. Westminster was perfect in 16 clearing chances and scored on 2 of 5 man-up opportunities.

Taylor would finish the game leading the team with three goals and four points. He attempted six shots and picked up two ground balls.
Thomas Sarjeant added two goals and one assist while
Nick Marcy had one goal and three assists.
Bridger Fisher also had three assists in the win.

Westminster forced Maryivlle (0-12, 0-8 RMAC) into 23 turnovers and allowed only 25 shots.
Nathan Wade led the Griffin defense with three caused turnovers.

Conner McFarlane earned the win in goal for the Griffins with nine saves against five goals allowed in 51 minutes.
Kyler Banks closed out the win with one save and one goal allowed.

Jacob Campbell led Maryville with three goals and William DeVinney made 16 saves.
