ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Westminster women's lacrosse team completed a weekend sweep of two games in Minnesota with a 20-10 win over Findlay on Saturday afternoon at the Concordia Dome.

Westminster (2-1) got a combined 13 goals from
Katie Adams and
Kira Heiden as they topped the 20-goal mark for a second straight game. The Griffins took 26 shots on the afternoon with 24 on goal. Findlay (0-1) finished with 33 shots and they had a 17-15 edge in draw controls.

Adams led the Griffins with seven goals and eight points on Saturday. She scored five of those goals during a 20-minutue span to close the first and start the second half. Heiden added six goals and one assist to give her 13 goals in the two games of the weekend.

The Griffins tallied the first four goals of the game and never allowed Findlay to get closer than two goals the rest of the game. They were able to put the game away with a 6-1 spurt early in the second half that sparked a 10-4 second-half advantage.

Allison Lambert added three goals in the win for a second straight hat trick.
Morgan Bakarich finished with one goal and four assists.

Westminster went 15 of 17 in clearing chances and scored on 3 of 4 free-position attempts.
Audree Erekson led the team with five draw controls and
Taylor Hekking had four ground balls.

Hekking earned the win in cage for the Griffins with six saves while playing the first half.
Mikala Anderson made four saves in 20 minutes and
Caitlyn Laffey closed the final 10 minutes.

Findlay got three goals apiece from Allison Kelly and Kyra Bradley.

The Griffins will now have two weeks off from competition before the RMAC opener at UCCS on March 11 in Colorado Springs, Colo.
