Week in Review
The women's basketball team split results last week at the Al Kaly Shrine Classic, hosted by CSU-Pueblo. The team split results on the weekend, defeating Davenport on Friday, 62-55, and losing to Northern State on Saturday, 79-56.
The lead changed hands a few times during the first quarter against Davenport. Kylie Hale hit a 3-pointer for the last basket of the quarter to put the Griffins in the lead. Good defending and 30 points from the bench kept the Griffins in the lead for the rest of the game.
A slow start in the first half was too much to overcome against Northern State on Saturday. At halftime the Wolves were up by 18-points. The second half was better as Westminster nearly doubled the offensive production of the first half, scoring 37 points.

Westminster at Weber State and Dixie State
It will be a busy three days playing an exhibition game at Weber State University on Wednesday, Thanksgiving on Thursday and traveling to St. George for a game against Dixie State on Friday. Tip off against Weber State is Scheduled for noon at Dee Events Center in Ogden. Friday's game against Dixie will start at 2 p.m at Burns Arena.

Scouting Weber State
Weber State is 2-1 having beaten Utah Valley and Antelope Valley and having lost to University of Utah.
The Wildcats average 71.0 points per game and have allowed 70.7 points. The average 40.1 from the field, scoring 32.3 percent of their 3-point attempts. The pull down 39.7 rebounds, 4.3 blocks and 2.3 steals per game.
Larryn Brooks is the leading scorer for the Wildcats with 54 points. Brooks has played 97 minutes and is shooting 39.1 from the field, 34.5 from behind the arc and is perfect from the line.
Briana Gray has contributed 35 points, 18 rebounds and three blocked shots. Kalie Quinn has scored 34 points with 17 rebounds, four steals and one blocked shot.
Scouting Dixie State
 The Trailblazers are 2-2 with losses to Western Oregon and Colorado Mesa and wins against Saint Martin's and Montana Stat Northern. Dixie lost to Utah State in an exhibition game, 92-72.Â

Dixie averages 68.8 points per game shooting 40.1 percent from the field, 32.0 percent behind the arc and 66.7 percent from the line. They pull down 34.8 rebounds, 8.0 steals and 3.3 blocks per game.Â

Ali Franks leads the team with 43 points shooting 24.4 from the field and 47.4 from behind the arc. Four additional players have scored 30 or more points--Taylor Moeaki has 39, Mariah Martin has 38, Maile Richardson has 32 and Kristin Baldwin has 30.

Kristin Baldwin has collected 30 rebounds, 24 of those defensive rebounds, and blocked nine shots. Maile Richardson has 21 rebounds and Ashlee Burge has 17 rebounds.
Looking Ahead to RMAC Conference Games
The Griffins will begin the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference season with two away games. The first game is at Coloroda Mesa on November 30 and the second game is at Western State on December, 2. Both games will be broadcast on the
RMAC sports network and available on live stats.
About the Griffins
Westminster is in its third provisional year as a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference at the NCAA Division II level. Last year the Griffins finished ninth in the RMAC standings with a 11-15 overall and 9-13 RMAC record.

Seven players return from the 2016-17 team. Each player played in at least three games for the Griffins.
