CHADRON, Neb. – The Westminster women's volleyball team fell in three sets to Chadron State on Friday night in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play.

Westminster (2-12, 0-5 RMAC) got off to another slow start in the 19-25, 22-25, 21-25 loss. Chadron State (3-11, 2-4) had an 18-11 kill advantage in the first set to set the tone for a 48-34 edge on the night.

The second set was tightly contested and was level at 21-21 before the Eagles scored four of the final five points to take a 2-0 lead. The Griffins would again put up a fight in the third set before the Eagles closed the set on a 5-1 run to complete the sweep.

Chadron State finished the night hitting 313 while limiting the Griffins to 144. Westminster recorded four aces in the loss and had five blocks and 29 digs. CSC totaled seven blocks, 38 digs, and two aces.

Amara Spere led the Griffin attack with 11 kills and finished the night hitting .231.
Savannah Ipsen contributed nine kills and
Katie Allen had five kills and three blocks.
Amber Lamborn posted three of the team's aces and
Hannah Stearman led the way with nine digs.

Gaby Varela led the Eagles with 14 kills while Rudy Leasau added 13.
