SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster women's volleyball team couldn't slow the offense of Colorado Christian and fell in three sets on Friday night in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action in the Behnken Field House.

Westminster (2-9, 0-3 RMAC) posted 41 kills in the 19-25, 13-25, 21-25 loss. Colorado Christian (8-5, 2-2) finished with 43 kills, but had just five hitting errors and hit .319. The Griffins would hit .185 with 19 hitting errors.

Amara Spere led all players in the match with 15 kills and she recorded eight of those in the third set as the Griffins tried to extend the match. The team had 18 kills in the third set as they hit .234 in the stanza.

Westminster also got a career high 11 kills from
Savannah Ipsen. She hit .458 and notched her first career double-double with 14 digs.
Megan Gallegos added 14 digs while
Sydnee Simmons led the team with four blocks.

The Cougars added a 5-0 advantage in service aces to overcome the Griffins 61-52 edge in digs. Both teams had five blocks.

Sophia Proano led CUU with 12 kills with Taylor Sturms adding 11.
