HONOLULU – The Westminster women's soccer team got a pair of goal from
Rylei North to defeat Chaminade, 2-0, on Monday evening at Saint Louis Field to complete a perfect three-game trip to Hawaii.
Â
North gave the Griffins (3-0) the lead in the 12th minute with a shot from distance. After Chaminde (1-1) gave the ball away in their defensive third, North took a shot from 25 yards out at the left angle that went over the keeper for the early advantage.
Â
Westminster carried that lead into intermission after taking 11 shots in the half with six of them on goal. The lead was doubled in the 50th minute when North finished a scrum in front of the net for her eighth career multi-goal game.
Alicia May played the ball into North and was credited with her first career assist.
