DENVER – The Westminster men's soccer team had its losing skid extended to four straight outings with a 4-0 loss at Regis in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play on Sunday afternoon at the Regis Soccer Pitch.
Westminster (1-5, 0-4 RMAC) was only able to get seven shots in the game with one of them on goal. Regis (3-3, 2-2) took 26 shots with 10 on frame and their four goals.
The home side took a 1-0 lead in the 17th minute when Ben Parsons found the goal for the first of two goals on the day. Quinton Carey scored in the 34th minute to send the Rangers to intermission with a 2-0 lead.
Parsons added that second goal in the 64th minute and then Elliot Sutcliffe capped the day with a goal in the 78th minute on an assist from Ingram Coller.
Six different Griffins had shots in the game with
Jordan Jones to only to get two attempts. Jones had the team's only shot on goal.
Taylor Ruff suffered the loss in goal with six saves.
Westminster will look to snap their slide when they return to action on Friday at Fort Lewis in Durango, Colo.
