SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster men's basketball team will play its final two home games of the regular season this week when they host Great Falls (Mont.) on Thursday and Montana State-Northern on Saturday. The action begins at 7:30 p.m. (MT) on each night and tickets for the games are available at
WestminsterGriffins.com/tickets. Westminster will honor its two seniors prior to the game on Saturday.

Griffin Fast Break: Westminster enters the final home weekend of the season at 10-13 overall and they are 3-7 in Frontier Conference action. The Griffins are currently one loss behind Montana State-Northern and Rocky Mountain (Mont.) for the No. 5 and 6 spots in the conference race. They have gone 7-5 at home on the year and enter the week having dropped three straight overall.

Offense Notebook: The Griffins enter play this week scoring 72.48 points per game which ranks sixth in the Frontier Conference. They are shooting 43.4 percent from the field and they rank 31st in the NAIA by making 69.7 percent at the foul line. The team makes 7.74 threes per outing – 27th in the NAIA – and they rank 27th in the country by shooting 36.6 percent from beyond the arc. The Griffins distribute 14.13 assists per game – 39th in the NAIA – with a 1.05 assist-to-turnover ratio to place 24th nationally.

Defense Notebook: Westminster is giving up 70.70 points per game on the season to rank 41st in the country and they hold the opposition to 45.1 percent shooting. They have held 12 opponents under 70 points, including six in conference play. Griffin opponents shoot 35.7 percent from beyond the arc and Westminster grabs 34.44 rebounds per game. They are forcing 16.04 turnovers per outing and generate 8.39 steals per game to rank 31st in the country.

Leaders: Quincy Bair leads three Griffins that average in double figures at 13.17 points per game.
Jordan Pryor averages 12.65 points per game and has made a team-high 55 threes.
Kenny Woodard adds 11.39 points per game while shooting 88.2 percent at the foul line.
Colton Moon has a team-leading 56 assists and 50 steals while Bair has a team-leading 13 blocked shots.

Inside the Numbers: The Griffins have gone 8-4 this season when they lead at halftime and they are 8-1 when leading with five minutes to play in regulation. They are winners in seven of eight contests when scoring at least 70 points in a game while going 6-2 when grabbing more rebounds than the opposition.

Looking Back: Westminster fell behind early and lost to then-No. 15 Montana Western, 75-64, last Saturday in the Behnken Field House. Montana Western closed the first half on a 30-12 run and held the Griffins to just eight first-half baskets. Pryor led the team with 17 points and six rebounds and Jenson added 12 points and five rebounds.

Frontier Conference Race: With two weeks left in the regular season, no team in the Frontier Conference has secured a spot in the six-team conference tournament. And while the Griffins are currently in the No. 8 spot, they are just one loss behind the No. 5 seed. The tournament begins on March 4 with quarterfinal game at the home of the No. 4 and 5 seeds. The top two seeds will host semifinal games on March 7 with the championship game at the home of the top remaining seed on March 10.
