Box Score FULLERTON, Calif. – The Westminster men's basketball team trailed Hope International by 14 with just over 12 minutes to play before coming all the way back for a 56-53 win at Darling Pavilion on Friday night.

Westminster played the game as an exhibition while Hope International slips to 3-1 on the season with the loss.

The Griffins were trailing 49-37 when
Casey Evans scored with 11:03 on the second half clock. That bucket started a 19-4 run to close the game by the Griffins. They took their first lead since 2-0 with 52 seconds remaining wen a
Jordan Pryor layup was goaltended. After a stop at the defensive end,
Brandon Warr scored in the paint to seal the victory.

Neither team shot the ball very well it the Griffins finishing at 37.3 percent while holding HIU to 31.5 percent. Westminster made eight threes, including three from
Kenny Woodard, and they were 10 of 12 at the foul line. That helped them overcome 16 turnovers, although t those only turned into five points for the Royals.

Pryor led the Griffins with 16 points on 5 of 8 shooting. Woodard and Warr added 11 points apiece. Pryor and Warr combined to scored 18 of Griffins second half points.
Marcus Bryce pulled in 13 rebounds.

Westminster will look to complete a sweep at the HIU Mid-November Classic on Saturday when they face Biola at 6:30 p.m. MT/5:30 p.m. PT.
