Women’s Soccer Travels to MSU Denver, Regis

The Westminster women's soccer team is back on the road this weekend for a pair of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference games. They begin the week on Friday when they visit MSU Denver at 7 p.m. The Griffins will then play at Regis University on Sunday at noon.
 
The game against MSU Denver will not count towards the conference standings.

ABOUT WESTMINSTER
Westminster heads to Denver at 6-5-1 overall this season and 3-4-1 in RMAC action. They are currently tied for fifth in the conference standings with 10 points, although they are not eligible for the RMAC Championship. They are 3-3-1 on the road this season and 0-3-1 in RMAC road games.
 
The Griffins are averaging 1.17 goals per game and they rank sixth in the RMAC in that category. They take 11.3 shots per game with 43.4 percent of them on goal. The team has taken 48 corner kicks with seven assists and been called offsides 12 times.
 
Defensively, Westminster ranks tied for sixth in the conference by allowing 13 goals this season. They are eighth in the league with a 1.05 goals-against-average. The opposition is taking 8.4 shots per game and they put 46.5 percent of them on target. Griffin keepers have made 34 saves with a .723 save percentage.
 
Senior Rylei North has scored five goals and is presently tied for first in the conference in that category. She is second in the league by averaging 0.45 goals per game and third with three game-winning-goals. Korral Koehler is tied for second in the league with three assists and 0.25 assists per game. Madison Roemer and McKell Kellogg have each totaled two goals and one assist this season and Madeline Orr has scored two goals.
 
Abi Yanke has started 10 games and gone 6-3 in those starts with three shutouts. She ranks sixth in the RMAC with a 0.75 GAA and tied for 10th with 27 saves. Yanke has a .794 save percentage and has faced 74 shots. Breanna Empey has played in four games with two starts. Empey has a 1.93 GAA and .538 save percentage while going 0-2-1.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
• MSU Denver
– The Roadrunners start the week at 5-3-3 overall and they have gone 2-2-3 in RMAC games. They are scoring 1.27 goals per game and have been shutout four times. Regina Banks leads the team with seven points by scoring three goals with one assist. Korena Perales and McKinzie Rieber have added three goals apiece. Breanna Flores has started all 11 games in goal with a 0.78 GAA and .864 save percentage.
 
The Griffins leads the all-time series 1-0 after their 2-0 win at Dumke Field on October 2.
 
• Regis – The Rangers begin this week's action at 6-3-2 overall and 2-2-2 in conference play. They are on a four-game unbeaten streak and are 3-1-2 in the last six games. Regis leads the RMAC with 23 goals and 16 assists. Sid Otto leads the team with five goals and 12 points. Sade Akindale has scored three goals. Kat Crump has started six games and the team is 5-0-1 on the year with a 0.63 GAA and .800 save percentage.
 
Regis holds a 1-0 lead in the all-time series with Westminster after a 1-0 overtime victory at Dumke Field on October 4.
