LAKEWOOD, Colo. – One week after recording its first point as a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, the Westminster men's soccer team earned its first win by defeating Colorado Christian University, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon at Trailblazer Stadium.

Neither team would get in the scoreboard in the first half of action despite the two teams combining to take 17 shots. Westminster (2-7-1, 1-6-1 RMAC) would break through on their 12th shot of the game when
Jonnathan Rodriguez tallied his third goal of the season in the 51st minute.
Brock Charlesworth secured the assist on the goal.

The Griffins would finish the afternoon with 16 shots and they ended with seven of them on goal. They also took five corner kicks and limited Colorado Christian (1-11, 1-7) to 14 shots (5 on goal) and only one corner.

Matthew Warne led the Griffins with four shots with
Jaden Olsen getting off three.
Sean Lyne made five saves to earn his first win of the season in goal.
