DILLON, Mont. – The No. 5 Westminster women's basketball team opened a three-game road swing with a 60-45 win at Montana Western in Frontier Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Straugh Gymnasium.

Westminster (12-2, 2-1 Frontier) had four players score in double figures in the game with

Shelby Ellsworth and
Mika Pinner each scored 10 points while
Alli Winters finished with eight and
Amanda Hacking had six.

The Griffins shot 40.8 percent from the field and they made nine of their 25 attempts (36 percent) from beyond the arc. The totaled 18 assists on 20 made field goals – Krommenhoek had six assists – and they only committed eight turnovers. They held Montana Western (8-11, 0-3) to 33.3 percent from the field and forced 17 turnovers for 17 points.

Westminster never trailed in the contest and they used a 7-0 run late in the first half to open a 29-19 advantage. They led 29-22 at the break and then pushed the advantage to 17 with a 12-2 spurt early in the second half. The Griffins maintained a double-digit advantage over the final 14:34 of the game with their largest lead of 20 coming at the 3:39 mark.

McCall Hasquet led Montana Western with 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting. Jenna Banks added 10 points and Melody McCloud had nine points and 11 rebounds.
