SALT LAKE CITY – The 20th-ranked Westminster College women's soccer team opens a three-game road swing with two games in Washington this weekend. Westminster plays at Northwest (Wash.) on Friday at 4 p.m. and then faces Evergreen (Wash.) at noon on Saturday.

Griffin Notebook
Westminster hits the road with a 7-1 record after winning twice at home last week. They defeated York (Neb.) 4-1 last Friday and then came back to take a 1-0 win over Hope International on Sunday. The Griffins are ranked 20th in the latest edition of the NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll that was released on Tuesday. They can also be found at No. 28 in the current edition of the Massey Ratings.
The Griffins are 6-0 at home this season and have a 44-9-2 all-time record on Dumke Field. They have gone 15-0-1 in the previous 16 home games dating back to last season. Westminster is 5-0 this season when leading at halftime and has yet to be trailing at the intermission.
Westminster has outscored the opposition 24-8 this season with three shutouts. The hold an 11-1 edge in the first half of games and the have recorded 21 assists on 24 total goals. The Griffins have attempted 134 shots on the year while putting 70 of those shots on goal. The opposition has taken just 61 shots with 33 being on frame.
Rylei North continues to lead the team with nine goals and 18 points. The sophomore forward is 14th in the NAIA in goals and 24th in points. Her three game-winning goals leads the Frontier/TranSouth Conference and also puts her fifth in the nation.
Margo Hickman and
Alyssa Hill have scored four goals apiece and Hickman has posted a single season school record six assists to lead the team.
Jaime Nelson and
Amanda Peppers have added two goals each. Hickman leads the team with 25 shots with
Justine Jones second with 24 attempts.
Jamie Wilkinson and
Dayna Winter-Nolte have split the minutes in goal this season. Both have made 12 saves with Wilkinson posting a 0.50 GAA and an 85.7 save percentage. She has a perfect 4-0 record with two shutouts. Winter-Nolte has a 1.38 GAA while recording a 70.6 save percentage. Winter-Nolte has three wins and one shutout.
Against the Opposition
Westminster will be facing both Northwest and Evergreen for the first time this week.
