Box Score LAS VEGAS – The Westminster College men's basketball team dropped an 88-81 decision to Westmont (Calif.) on Saturday afternoon at Durango High School at the NAIA Tip-Off Classic.

The 13th-ranked Griffins suffered their first loss of the season and are now 4-1 on the year. No. 8 Westmont remains perfect at 2-0.

Westminster will return to the road next weekend when they travel to Caldwell, Idaho for the Golden Rule Shootout hosted by the College of Idaho. The Griffins open the event on Friday against Walla Walla (Wash.) at 2 p.m.
