Box Score ESPANOLA, N.M. – The 13th-ranked Westminster College men's basketball began the 2012-13 season with a 76-67 win over Northern New Mexico on Saturday night.

Westminster (1-0) led by 17 at halftime and held off a second half rally from Northern New Mexico (0-1) to earn the win. Tallon Robertson led the Griffins with 17 points and seven rebounds in his first game as a Griffin. Jake Orchard began his senior season with 11 points.

The Griffins return to action on Friday when they face Fort Lewis (Colo.) in the home opener. The action from the Behnken Field House will begin at 7 p.m. and be available live on Griffins TV.
