SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster College women's volleyball team was swept by 14th-ranked Rocky Mountain College on Saturday in the Behnken Field House.  This was the Griffins sixth loss this season to a team ranked in the top 25.

Rocky won the match by scores of: 25-15, 27-25, 25-11 and drop Westminster to 3-7 overall and 0-2 in the Frontier Conference.  Rocky improves to 13-2 and 2-0.

Westminster finished the afternoon with 29 kills and hit .095.  They couldn't slow the balanced attack of the visitors as Rocky hit .274 with 43 kills.  The Griffins did collect 45 digs and three blocks.  They also had two service aces.

Ashley Marchant led the Griffins with her seven kills while Kenzie Mitchell contributed six.  Mitchell hit .455 in the match and also had one block.  Alexis Aalona, Becky Burke and Stephanie Jones Morin all recorded four kills.  Kyndall Kordakis had 13 digs and Katy Waldie picked up 12 digs.

Sara Brunner posted a double-double for Rocky with 13 kills and 13 digs.  Ashley Welborn had nine kills with Jillian Stanek posting seven kills while hitting .500.

Westminster will look to snap this four-game losing streak when they face Montana Tech in Butte on Sept. 16.
