SALT LAKE CITY – Two members of the Westminster men's golf team were named a Daktronics/NAIA Scholar Athlete, the national office announced today.
Bryce Till and
Matthew Van Wagoner were each named to the team of 117 total student-athletes across the nation.
This is the second straight year that Till has received the honor while Van Wagoner earns his first Scholar Athlete recognition.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
The Westminster men's golf team finished third in the Frontier Conference this past season. The best finish in school history was capped with a win over Rocky Mountain College in the third-place match of the 2011 conference tournament.
