DILLON, Mont. – Behind three players in double figures the ninth-ranked Westminster women's basketball team picked up an 83-76 win over Montana Western on Friday night.  Westminster has now won seven straight games and eight of the last nine.
The win improves Westminster to 20-4 overall and 7-1 in the Frontier Conference.  Western drops to 6-14 and 2-6.
Michelle Pace led the Griffins to a 20th win for a fifth consecutive season with 23 points on 8-of-12 shooting.  Pace was perfect on her two attempts from beyond the arc while going 5-of-7 at the foul line.  Westminster shot 46.2% from the field in the game while recording 20 assists on 30 made field goals.
Allie Eastman chipped in 19 points and five rebounds.  
Nicole Yazzie had 13 points and seven assists.  The Griffins scored 10 points from 21 Western turnovers and had eight points off 10 offensive rebounds.  
Dani Evans posted a team-high nine rebounds and 
Jenteal Jackson added five assists.
Hayley Pettit led Western behind a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds.  UMW shot 56.3% from the field, but was just 1-of-7 from beyond the arc.
Westminster will now travel to Butte, Mont. to face the last team to defeat the Griffins, Montana Tech.  Saturday's action will begin at 5:30 p.m.
