Box Score AZUSA, Calif. – The Westminster College men's basketball team dropped a 72-69 decision against No. 9 Azusa Pacific on Saturday afternoon in California.
Westminster (7-2) led by as much as 10 points in the first half and carried that lead through the midway part of the second half. APU (3-1) would take their final lead of the game with 2:06 to play at 68-66 and would not trail again.
Jordan Hayter led the Griffins with 16 points with four rebounds and two assists.
Ben Walker added 10 points and four rebounds.

Tanner Gregory scored nine points apiece. Westminster shot 50.9% from the floor in the game and scored 32 points in the paint.
BJ Porter led APU with 25 points on 10-of-13 shooting. The Cougars shot 54% from the floor with seven makes from beyond the arc.
Westminster will return to action on Friday when they host Lyndon State during the Westminster Thanksgiving Classic. The game begins at 7 p.m. in the Behnken Field House.
