WHITEFISH, Mont. – Ashley Marchant from the Westminster College women's volleyball team has been named the Frontier Conference player of the week, commissioner Kent Paulson announced today.  Marchant becomes the second Griffin to win the award this season and this is her first career weekly honor.

Marchant is a 5-foot-10 junior outside hitter from Sandy, Utah.  Westminster scored road wins over the University of Great Falls and MSU-Northern by identical 3-0 scores.  In the six sets played, she averaged five kills per set with a
.476 hitting percentage and averaged two digs per set.

Also nominated: Sara Brunner of Rocky Mountain College, Holly Cartwright of Montana State-Northern, Shersteen Cline of Montana Tech, Emily Erickson of Montana Western, Elli Graff of Carroll College and Lauryn Herrick of Lewis-Clark State College.
