Box Score HAVRE, Mont. – The Westminster College women's volleyball picked up a third straight win with a 3-0 sweep of Montana State-Northern on Friday evening. The win also snapped a four-match road losing streak for the Griffins that dated back to Sept. 17.
Westminster (10-13, 7-5 Frontier) got a career-high 14 kills from freshman
Alexis Aalona in the 25-22, 25-22, 25-13 victory. Aalona hit .346 in the match while also adding nine digs and two service aces.
Ashley Marchant contributed 13 kills and a .360 hitting efficiency.
Kenzie Mitchell had eight kills with
Emily Atkinson dishing out 39 assists. Libero
Kyndall Kordakis finished the match with 16 digs.
Westminster recorded 45 kills as a team and had the second-best hitting night of the season with a .269 efficiency. The Griffins also had 51 digs, eight aces and six blocks. The held Northern (13-10, 5-6) to just 27 kills and a .112 hitting efficiency.
Westminster will play its final road match of the regular season on Saturday when they face Great Falls at 2 p.m.
