Four in Double Figures as Women’s Basketball Wins

Box Score BILLINGS, Mont. – The 15th-ranked Westminster women's basketball team had four players score in double figures in an 85-74 win over Rocky Mountain College on Saturday night. Westminster scored 47 points in the second half to turn a one points halftime lead into the 11 point victory.

With the win Westminster climbs to 16-4 on the year and 3-1 in the Frontier Conference. Rocky slips to 8-10 overall and 1-2 in conference games.

The Griffins shot 44.3% from the field in the game and 48.1% in the high scoring second half. They grabbed 12 offensive rebounds and only committed 14 turnovers. Westminster also connected on 15-of-17 (55.6%) from beyond the arc. They were 11-of-15 from long range in the second 20 minutes.

Dani Evans led the four in double figures with her 22 points. Evans went 7-of-10 on threes while addig three rebounds and one assist. Jenteal Jackson scored 15 points to go with her team-best five rebounds and three assists. Nicole Yazzie and Michelle Pace had 14 and 12 points respectively.

Micki Scally scored 22 points off the bench to lead Rocky. Callie Kautzmann added 18 points while making four from deep.

Westminster now looks forward to a home game with No. 4 Lewis-Clark State College on Saturday, January 22. Tipoff at the Behnken Field House is slated for 5:30 p.m.
