Box Score HELENA, Mont. --  The 15th-ranked Westminster women's basketball team won a second straight Frontier Conference game with a 65-55 win over No. 22 Carroll on Thursday night.  Westminster forced Carroll into 28 turnovers in picking up its fifth road win of the season.
Westminster is now 15-4 overall and 2-1 in the Frontier Conference.  Carroll falls to 14-4 and 1-1.
The Griffins opened the game with a 19-6 run over the game's first 10 minutes.  Carroll would rally back to 31-25 at the halftime intermission only to see Westminster push the lead to 38-27 with 17:41 to play.  Carroll would eventually take a 48-45 lead with 10:43 remaining before the Griffins used a 13-0 run to take the game over.
Westminster shot 41.7% from the floor in the game and was 11-of-12 at the foul line.  The Griffins struggled from distance, making just 4-of-19 (21.1%) from beyond the arc.  They did turn those 28 Carroll turnovers into 28 points and got 25 points off the bench.
Jenteal Jackson paced the Griffins with 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting.  Jackson added three rebounds and two assists.  
Nicole Yazzie had 10 points.  
Dana Bates and 
Angela Fales scored nine and eight points respectively off the bench.  
Michelle Pace grabbed a team-best seven rebounds to go with seven points.
Sara Meyer and Jeni Guertin led Carroll with 10 points apiece.  The Saints shot 43.5% from the field and outrebounded Westminster 28-26.
Westminster will now head to Billings, Mont. to face Rocky Mountain College on Saturday, January 15.  Tipoff at the Fortin Center is slated for 6:00 p.m.
