This Week
The Westminster women's basketball completes the 2010 regular season against No. 12 Lewis-Clark State in the Behnken Field House on Saturday, February 27. The game features the top-two teams in the Frontier Conference standings and will decide which team will receive the No. 1 seed in next week's Frontier Conference Tournament.
Saturday's game will be the final regular season home game for three Griffin seniors.

Michelle Pace will be recognized for their contributions to the program following the game. Anyone arriving before halftime of the women's game will receive FREE admission.
Westminster enters the week at 23-5 overall and at 12-1 in the conference they have already clinched at least a share of the regular season title. The Griffins are ranked 11th in the NAIA coaches' poll for the second consecutive week, one spot ahead of LC State. They have won six straight games and 19 of the last 20 they have played going into Saturday.
Westminster is shooting 49.3% from the floor this season and 40.9% from beyond the arc to lead the NAIA in each of those categories. The team scores 78.2 points per game to rank ninth in the country while averaging 18 assists per game which is fifth nationally. Defensively the Griffins allow 63.4 points per game and limit the opposition to just 38.1% shooting. Westminster collects 11.4 steals per game to rank 23rd in the country.
Jessop leads the team in scoring at 13.4 points per game. Se is sixth in the Frontier in scoring and leads the conference with her 3.14 steals per night. With 88 steals this season, Jessop sits just 12 shy of the school record for steals in a season set by
Shannon Evans last year with 100.
Nicole Yazzie is second on the team in scoring and is coming off being named the Frontier Conference Player of the Week. Yazzie averaged 25.5 points, 6.5 assists, and six rebounds per game last week. She matched a career high with 27 points while collecting a career-best nine rebounds. At Rocky, Yazzie had 24 points and dished out nine assists.

Frontier Conference Tournament Update
Westminster has clinched an opening round game in the Behnken Field House. If they win on Saturday, Westminster will face Great Falls on Tuesday, March 2 at 6 p.m. as part of a double header with the men's team. If LC State wins on Saturday, Westminster will open the tournament against Montana Western on Wednesday, March 3 at 7 p.m. Should the Griffins win the opening round game they will host a semi-final game on Saturday, March 6 at 7 p.m. The championship game s slated for Tuesday, March 9 at the home of the highest remaining seed.
