SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster women's volleyball team will take to the Behnken Field House court for the final time of the season this week. The Griffins battle Great Falls at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 28 before the final home match of the season on Saturday, October 30 at 2 p.m. versus Montana State-Northern. The Saturday match will be senior day for
Ericka Evans.
Westminster enters the week with a 9-11 overall record and at 5-6 in the Frontier Conference. They split two matches on the road last week, picking up a 3-0 win over Montana Western before dropping a 3-1 decision at Montana Tech. The Griffins are 5-6 at home this season, but have lost three straight in Salt Lake City.
As a team, Westminster is averaging 11.7 kills per set with a .169 hitting efficiency. They have posted 798 assists this season to go with 118 service aces. On the defensive end the Griffins average 1.8 blocks per set with 1,088 digs. Westminster opponents are hitting .195 and average 11.9 kills per set.
Clotile Harris leads the Frontier Conference with 277 kills while her 4.07 per set is 18th in the NAIA. Stephanie Jones leads the team with a .271 hitting efficiency, which is the second highest efficiency for a season in school history. Jones averages 1.96 kills per set and also has 50 blocks.
Katie Vance leads all Griffins with 54 total blocks while
Kyndall Kordakis has a team-best 303 digs.
Emily Atkinson has distributed out 64 assists while ranking third on the Frontier at 8.84 per set.

Scouting Great Falls
Great Falls heads to SLC with a 7-15 overall record and 4-6 in the Frontier Conference. The Argonauts dropped a 3-0 decision at Montana State-Northern last weekend and have now lost five of seven. Tosha Nunes leads the Argos with 247 kills while hitting .245. Taylor Lucero has posted 171 kills while Kila Adams leads the team with 339 assists and 23 service aces.

Scouting Montana State-Northern
MSU-Northern hits the road for the final time this season with an 11-9 record and 4-6 in the Frontier. They picked up a 3-0 sweep of Great Falls last weekend and have now won two straight after dropping six consecutive. Kaylee Bossert leads the Skylights with 223 kills and is hitting .280 this season. Brittany Baker has added 184 kills and leads the team with 18 service aces.

Down the Stretch
Westminster enters the final three games of the regular season in a tie for fourth place in the Frontier Conference. Place four through seven are currently separated by one-half game with two weeks remaining. The Griffins have gone 2-1 against the final three opponents on the schedule this season.
Frontier Tournament
Lewis-Clark State will once again play host to this season's Frontier Conference Tournament. All eight team qualify for the two-day event which begins on Friday, November 12 with four quarterfinal matches. The semi-finals are on Saturday, November 13 in the afternoon with the championship match slated for 8 p.m. (MDT) on the 13th. If the tournament was slated for today, Westminster would be the No. 5 seed and face Montana Tech in the opening round.
700/700 Club
With seven kills at Mesa State on October 7, senior
Ericka Evans became just the second member of the 700 Kills/700 Digs Club at Westminster. Evans is averaging 1.77 kills per set this season to go with her 2.77 digs per set average. She now has 733 kills and 763 digs in her career. Ali Culp is the only other Griffin to post 700 career kills and 700 career digs. Culp finished her career with 989 kills and 870 digs.
Reaching 100
Head coach Kim Norman notched her 100th career victory with the 3-0 win over Montana Western on September 16. Norman has recorded 104 career victories against 99 losses for a .512 win percentage in seven seasons on the Griffins bench. In conference play, Norman is 58-37 entering the week for a win percentage of .611.
Notable Performance
Clotile Harris was named Frontier Conference volleyball player of the week on August 31. This is her first weekly award from the conference and she becomes the first Griffin to claim the weekly honor this season. Harris averaged 4.76 kills with a .305 hitting percentage. She also averaged 1.41 digs and .59 assisted blocks. She posted 20-plus kills in each of the final three matches, including 25 kills against the College of Idaho on August 27.
Next Week
The Griffins will travel to Lewiston, Idaho to face nationally ranked Lewis-Clark State on Friday, November 5. The match will begin at 8 p.m. (MDT) in the Lewiston Activity Center.
