The Griffins jumped one spot from the poll that was released on January 18. Westminster received 214 points in the recent poll that has Mountain State (W.Va.) as the nation's No. 1 team. Massey Ratings
Westminster is ranked seventh in the Massey Ratings for the third consecutive week. The Massey Ratings are a computer ranking system that compares all NAIA teams based on their season results. The ratings compare teams using several factors including offense efficiency, defense efficiency, home court advantage, and strength of schedule. The rankings are compiled weekly and released each Monday throughout the season.

Westminster is currently seventh in defense efficiency and strength of schedule. Concordia (Calif.) is the current No. 1 team in the ratings, followed by Oklahoma Baptist and Mountain State (W.Va.). The Frontier Conference is currently the third rated conference thanks to having three teams in the top 18 of the ratings. This week's opponent Lewis-Clark State is 46th in the ratings.

Frontier Conference Playoffs
The 2010 Frontier Conference Tournament will again be played on the campus of the higher seed in each game. The opening round of the men's tournament will take place on Wednesday, March 3, with the top-four teams hosting the remaining four teams. The current standing would see the Griffins playing host to Montana Tech in an opening round game. Westminster has a magic number of seven to host an opening round game.

Next Week
Westminster completes this three-game road swing with the longest road trip of the conference season. They visit Great Falls on Friday, February 5 for an 8:00 p.m. game. They next night the Griffins visit Montana State-Northern for an 8:00 p.m. game in Havre.
