Women’s Basketball Remains Perfect in Conference Action

Keshia Catten had a team-best 23 points as the Griffins improved to 4-0 in conference action on Saturday night.
Box Score DILLON, Mont. – The Westminster College Griffins used a balanced scoring attack to down the University of Montana Western Bulldogs 82-71 in a women's Frontier Conference college basketball game from Dillon.

Montana Western scored on their first two possessions and led 4-0 in the game's opening minute. Westminster then exploded for 22 unanswered points and never looked back. The Griffins led 46-21 at halftime.

Westminster took control of the opening minutes of the second half and built their lead to 30. The Bulldogs slowly edged back into the game but Westminster's large first half lead proved to be too much to overcome. Montana Western outscored the Griffins 50-36 in the second half.

The Griffins were led in scoring by Keshia Catten with 23 points including four makes from beyond the arc. McKenzie Jessop added 19 points and four steals while Dani Evans finished with 13 points off the bench.

Kristen Luedtke led the Bulldogs with 18 points followed by Stephanie Dana with 14 and Chloe Mosey with 10. Laura Geis led the team in rebounding with six.

Westminster is back in action on Thursday, January 21 when they host Carroll College in the Behnken Field House at 5:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on College Fanz as the NAIA Game of the Week and they will be attempting to set a new attendance record in Behnken.
