Box Score DILLON, Mont. – The Westminster women's basketball team put three players in double figures as they claimed a 69-62 win over Montana Western on Friday night. No. 17 Westminster used a 32-22 first half to help them to the first win in Dillon in nine tries. The Griffins (20-5, 10-0) forced 22 turnovers and scored 25 points off of them in claiming a third straight 20-win season.
Elisa Leader went for 22 points on 7-of-13 shooting and pulled down a team-high six rebounds.
Alexis Tucker added 16 points and five rebounds while
Shannon Evans scored 13 points and dished out four assists. Westminster finished the night shooting 45.1% but was just 4-of-21 from beyond the arc.
Chloe Mosey led Montana Western (6-18, 2-8) with 14 points and nine rebounds. Genna Rucker scored 13 points and Heather Brooks added 10.
Westminster next faces Montana Tech on Saturday, February 14 at 8:00 p.m. in Butte.
