SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster women's basketball team suffered a 73-63 loss against No. 18 Westmont on Saturday night in the Behnken Field House. Westmont used a 14-1 run in the first half to open up an 18 point lead with 5:17 to play in the half. The next 14 minutes belonged to the Griffins, and when
Angela Fales put back a Heather Anderson miss Westminster held a 47-46 advantage with 11 minutes to play. Westmont responded with a 9-0 run of their own to take control of the game. Westminster cut the lead to two with 2:06 left, but failed to score the remainder of the game.
“We just didn't have any energy tonight,” head coach JD Gustin said. “You can't play a top 25 team with no energy and expect to have a chance to win.”

“She does everything for us,” Gustin said of the senior forward. “She will take you off the dribble or step out and hit a three. She is good for us.”
Allie Eastman was also named to the All-Tournament team after her 12 point and three assist performance tonight.
Nicole Yazzie added eight points off the bench while
Keshia Catten and
