Box Score HAVRE, Mont. – The Westminster women's basketball team shot 63.0 percent in the first half to help build a 44-22 lead over Montana State-Northern at halftime. No. 21 Westminster struggled in the second 20 minutes, but came away with a 67-55 victory. The Griffins (11-5, 1-0 Frontier) went just 7-of-23 in the final 20 minutes, but held Northern to just 9-of-25 during the same time frame.

Elisa Leader led Westminster with 19 points and had three makes from beyond the arc. Kesia Catten had four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points to match the 14 from Shannon Evans. Westminster forced Northern into 27 turnovers and held them to just 34.8 percent shooting for the game.

Stacie Barker led MSU-Northern (8-8, 0-1 Frontier) with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Taylor Keller added 12 points and made the lone 3-pointer of the night for the SkyLights.

Next for Westminster is a game with Great Falls on Saturday, January 10. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
