Box Score SALT LAKE CITY – Shannon Evans scored 29 points and dished out nine assists as the Westminster women's basketball knocked off Montana Tech, 74-68. Westminster shot just 39.4 percent in the first half and rallied from eight down to take a 34-33 lead into the intermission thanks to just three turnovers. The second half saw the Griffins shoot 56.7 percent and pull away late for the victory.

Evans finished the night 11-of-18 including five makes from beyond the arc. She handed out seven of her nine assists during the second half and finished with five steals. The Westminster defense held Montana Tech to just 36.0 percent in the second half and forced 21 turnovers in the game. The Griffins also controlled the paint 36-18.

Alexis Tucker finished with 14 points and a team high five rebounds. Keshia Catten and Elisa Leader finished with 12 points apiece.

Jenessa Todd led Montana Tech with 25 points while Jessie DePell had 15 points and five rebounds. Tech turned 10 Westminster turnovers into 13 points.

The Griffins return to action on Saturday, January 17 at 5:30 p.m. when they host Montana Western in the Behnken Field House.
